Dwight Howard is reportedly joining the Lakers in Detroit and will reportedly play on Sunday. It looks like Howard didn’t sustain much damage to his shoulder during Wednesday night’s loss to Pheonix, although it was enough to keep him out on Friday night against Minnesota.
Mike D’Antoni said Friday that Howard will play “when the pain goes away.” Howard has been undergoing platelet-rich plasma therapy on his right shoulder, which he has injured three different times. The PRP therapy is likely Howard’s last resort before surgery.
Dwight is said to be getting on a plane now in LA. Seems likely he will play tomorrow here in Detroit for the Lakers.—
